Advisory Board Of Directors

WWICS Estates has on its Advisory Board some of the most reputed and eminent names from diverse industries. All the panel members on the Advisory Board have been stalwarts in their respective areas and have made an indelible mark in the industry. The right blend of intellect and experience has proved to be an asset as the Board help in making concrete contributions in the progress of WWICS Estates Pvt. Ltd.

1) Lt. Gen. B.K.N. Chhibber

Lt. Gen Bakshi Krishan Nath Chhibber, Former Governor Punjab, was born on 10th Feb, 1936, who migrated to India from Pakistan in August, 1947. Lt. Gen. B.K.N. Chibber was commissioned in the “Gorkha Rifles” (Infantry) department as an ex-NDA entry through the IMA DEHRADUN in Dec.1956. He has served in various command and staff appointments in a number of field services and high altitude areas. Lt. Gen Chhibber has also served as a Defence advisor, posted at the Bhutan Army HQ from Aug. 1964 to Dec. 1967. He was awarded the esteemed UGEN THOGYAL Medal by Bhutan for his services in 1967. As a former Governor, Mr. Chibber has worked tirelessly and contributed to the growth of Punjab.

2) Sh. K.S.Sidhu

Sh. Kuljit. S. Sidhu, an IAS, who was also the Former Principal Secretary for the Govt. of Maharashtra) has held a number of respectable positions all through his professional career. He started his career as a Commissioned Officer in the Army and Border Security Force, which was followed by other designations such as Assistant Collector, Chief Executive Officer, Collector and District Magistrate, Deputy General Manager, and Divisional Commissioner. In the year 1986, he became the Secretary of Rural Development and Planning under Govt. of Maharashtra. From 1988 to 1993 K.S. Sidhu, served at the position of being the Chairman and Director of National Textile Corporation Ltd. He has also played the role of Secretary, General Administration & Secretary, Public Health under the Govt. of Maharashtra. In 1993, he took his office as the Principal Secretary and Special Commissioner of Earthquake Relief and Rehabilitation and successfully accomplished his responsibilities. For the term 1996 to 1998, K.S. Sidhu served as the Senior Project Coordinator of the World Bank. After this, he became the Independent Consultant of the World Bank. Throughout his life, K.S. Sidhu has attended many international conferences across the globe. He has also received many awards and Merit certificates from the Maharashtra Govt. & World Bank.

3) Sh. Ashok Khanna

Sh. Ashok Khanna, the Chairman of Khanna watches, was viewed as an intrepid Entrepreneur , which he proved true after coming up with his own venture ‘Khanna Watches’ in the year 1977, an undertaking that came into being in collaboration with S.B.B.M. Burdet, France , the promoters of “ K – Watch” brand and quality Quartz Analog Wrist Watches. From the early days, Mr. Khanna had been a bright child, and displayed an aura of high intellect when he was pursuing B.Tech (Hons.) in textile from Bradford University, England (U.K.). Ever since he stepped into the corporate world, his charismatic personality found the strength to draw the attention of many big names of the industry. Mr. Khanna has held many dignified positions throughout his career life, which include being the President in PHDCCI, Founder Chairman of CII, H.P. Committee and Member, Northern Regional Council, Former-Director on Board of HSIDC, Director in Power Grid Corporation, to mention a few.

4) Sh. A.S. Chatha

Sh. A.S. Chatha joined the I.A.S cadre of Punjab in 1963 and served his duty with distinction till his retirement in the year 1995. He made a noteworthy contribution in the following assignments:

1) As the MD of Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation from 1972-1977 and subsequently as the Secretary of Dept. of Industries. He planned and implemented a number of large and medium enterprises to strengthen the Industrial sector which was dominated by cottage and small scale Industries, and to heighten the necessity and urgency for technology and managerial up-gradation with a view to improve productivity, cost and quality competitiveness.

2) As the Home Secretary from 1990-1992 and as the Chief Secretary from 1992-1995 with Late S. Beant Singh, the then Chief Minister. Along with this, he led the state administration successfully to achieve the objectives like; Restoration of Law & Order, Restoration of democratic structure by holding elections for rural and urban local bodies, Restoration of fiscal health of the state by mobilizing tax and non-tax revenue, particularly by introducing user charges across the board, and Restoration of fiscal health of the state by mobilizing tax and non-tax revenue.

After his retirement, he worked as the Chairman of the Third Finance Commission in the Captain Amrinder Singh’s govt. and also worked as the member of his advisory committee for Industrial Development.

5) Dr. Kuldeep Singh Dhindsa

Dr. Kuldeep Singh Dhindsa is a world known scientist and professor, who holds many laurels for his successful professional career. He has held positions like the Head of the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry, Director of Student’s Welfare, Director Students Counseling & placement, Dean, Basic Sciences & Humanities, Vice-Chairman, Campus School, and International Students Advisor etc. Ex-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi honored him with the Indian National Science Academy Award in 1976. Prof. Dhindsa has made outstanding contributions in the field of Inorganic and Biological Chemistry. In the year 1990, he was awarded with Fulbright Scholarship and in the same year was elected as the Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, London. After retirement from Haryana Agricultural University (HAU), he joined MM Group of institutions, Mullana (Ambala) as the Director General. In 2007, he became the Director General of JCD Vidyapeeth, Sirsa.
